El Jay 03-08-2009, 10:49 PM Ok guys, time to actually set it in stone.
Where are we gonna do this? Who's cooking? Who's bringing what?
We need:
1 Grill Master
1 Person to hand out/help said Grill Master
1 Person to bring hot dogs and buns
1 Person to bring burger patties and buns
1 Person to bring plates, napkins, and cups
1 Person to bring condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish, etc.)
1 Person to bring chips
1 Person to bring sodas
Now, each person can bring a little of everything, but we have to get this organized.
So, I'm bringing soda, and some condiments for burgers from work. Don't worry if you really can't bring something. Whatever we don't get, I'll grab before the meet.
Let's do this thing!
AceX/Matt: Soda
How many peeps are you expecting?
I'm good for plates/napkins/cups.
How about a BIG salad to go with the other stuff?
I can bring that too. I just need to know how big/for how many folks.
Oh, yeah, Wm. Land Park, or somewhere else?
Larry
Jerry Jones 03-09-2009, 07:09 PM Do we have a time set yet? I may not be able to make this one depending on the time.

Alright. Sounds good then, but someone will have to bring the Beach Boys CD's. I don't have any...
EDIT: Did anyone wanna meet for lunch anyway? Nothing big, just a burger and some stories?

Props to El Jay for makin' it out this way from Antioch! He brought great company and an awesome CD that I just have to have now for the truck!
Jerry Jones 03-22-2009, 10:36 AM Who didja bring along LJ?
hotrodhomi 03-22-2009, 10:46 AM how did I miss this thread? that was right next to my house.
El Jay 03-22-2009, 03:36 PM Who didja bring along LJ?
Misters Hillis & Hoey.
I'd like to take Matt's truck on a long drive. With the speakers behind the seat it was like sitting there and getting a back massage. Yep, that much bass.
He and his GF are a nice young couple.
And, Matt was able to keep up with Bud on street rod stuff!
The only bad thing was the restaurant was a bit noisy & I wasn't able to hear well enough to conversate a lot.
Looking forward to Apr.
Jerry Jones 03-22-2009, 04:40 PM I would have to see the Matt vs. Bud thing in person to believe that Matt could keep up with Bud. No offense Matt, but I have seen Bud in action and he is a machine.
He is. I loved talking with him. He's a freakin' encyclopedia! There's no way I could keep up with him, but I did my best.
Sorry about the noise in the place. I didn't think it was gonna be so busy and loud.
