I have a 1977 3/4 ton 4x4 frame that had a small block 400 the PO removed prior to selling. I'll be putting in a 396 BBC. My question-can I use the original engine towers? Is there a difference between the BBC and the SBC? Thanks in advance for any help.

BUt, I know the answer.

The frame towers are the same. All v8's mount in the "8" holes on the towers, the inline six engine went in the "6" holes.

Sorry for the mix up. I'm trying to find my way around. I posted this twice as well. Thanks for the information! Need some help on reposting to the correct forum.
