Hey everyone. I thought I would see if anybody in Placerville may have known my Grandfather. He lived up there for many years and passed away the begining of February this year. Bob (Robert) Dunham was his name. He was a great inspiration to me and I thought I would see if he influenced any of you on here.

When was he born. My dad was born (1920) and raised in Georgetown, my brother still lives there in the house the family built in 1896. I know he went to at least high school in Placerville and he knew a lot of people in the area. I'll ask him if the name rings a bell when I talk to him later this weak.

1935 But I am not sure exactly when he moved to Placerville. He was ther since the 70s or 80s. He used to be a mechanic, and then he drove truck in the area for a while. He was kind of a junk collector too. Always had some old vehicle he was "gonna fix up". :) He lived off the main highway just east of town.

Just talked to Pops. He said he didn't know him. My dad knows a lot of the older families in the area. He used to drive the school bus from Georgetown to Placerville while he went to high school there. Could you imagine that happening now adays.

Take care.

:) That is a great thought. Just imagine someone offering to do that these days. That would be enough of an uproar. Thanks for the thought of asking.
