The 74 is looking good. I'm also in Pasadena down close to Strawberry and Fairmont. Here's some pics of mine. It hasn't seen the streets in about 3 months. I just finished a rewire and I'm almost ready to put the new gauge set and bezel back in. Then I can get her back on the road.

They are actually KMC SS's. But that's why I bought them because they look like the tt's. Just cheaper.

I got a set of 4 20" with kumho exsta-c tires for almost $1600 from discount tire about 3 years ago. They've since then discontinued that model but you can still buy a set on ebay for $899 I think. I wish somebody would sell just one because I bent the front driver's rim on a pothole in the freeway on 146 on the way back from Baytown. But it hasn't lost air so I'm almost afraid to try to have it straightened. Damn lo-profile tires.

that's not bad for the set i"ll see if i can find them on ebay. And that sucks about your rim. So do you go to any kind of hang out spots around here on week ends?

Not really. Got 3 kids so my time is pretty limited. One of the girls at my kids' daycare say her and her husband have Friday evening meets. They were doing it somewhere around the corner of Spencer and Center but I guess they got ran off of the parking lot. They moved it to a church I think. Now that the truck is running, I think I'll find out. I'll let you know.

pretty much just go as close to original as possible with a few upgrades and eventually a 6.2 L with a 6 speed 4L80e

Sounds like a good plan. One of my buddies has an '87 with a 6.0l and the 4l80e and that thing hauls ass. The engine is pretty much stock all it has is headers and a computer tune and he runs low 13's all day long.

Yeah there are quite a few people with 6.0s around especially in taco town now. I know of a guy that is running hi 11s with a 6.2 with pp heads and a small to medium cam in an ex cab truck

Saturday at 6pm at hooters on NASA rd 1 there will be a big car show or meet or something. Oh and I went tonight to the small meet that happens every Friday night at 6pm at the church parking lot close to the center-Spencer intersection. Some nice rides and pretty cool people. I'll be at hooters tomorrow night with the primered gray 71 short bed. Maybe i'll see yall there.
