and a couple of the thread-on connectors, to reach the 2-barrel Rochester on my '283' V-8 I took out of my 65' Chevelle. The linkage support on the car connects by two bolts at the back of the block - the one on my 65' C10 truck does not, and the lever just comes right out of the fire wall - therefor the old straight six (the truck's first engine) rod is about two inches too short.

Mac. :chevy:

Yeah - thought about that, as well as just buying one of those pieces of hex stock with a threaded hole in the center. with another short piece of all-thread to reach the carb.

If you do all thread get some small heims from speedway and some brake tubing from auto store and make your all thread the whole thing and cover the unused area with the brake tubing. Trust me the tubing will shine up some. Just something small and custom.
