rome704 06-11-2009, 11:23 PM Well Here's my new truck 1978 C10 bought it for 1500 im 19 so this is going to take some time to finish well having it look decent
350 ci 4 bolt main((11,000 miles))
Th-350/hurst shifter
Aftermarket Steering wheel and Tach
Problems:
rust in the bed i hope i can fix
Brakes smoke on extended drives so i need to fix that
Reverse lights don't work maybe the sensor on the tranny
dash needs to replaced
Needs AC/heat and that's about it
Wants:
3:73 posi
Audio System
More HP lol
Lowered suspension maybe 2.5/4 drop
Since having this truck i know nothing about it I'm going to need a person i can ask noobie questions to lol

rome704 06-12-2009, 09:32 AM I new to fix the door hinge the drivers door its sagging i see where it happening i saw a similar thread ppl said it could be the pins but it isn't that its the welds .....What would be the best way to fix it?

if the beds that bad and your not too sure about how to go about fixing it you could always search craigslist... seen a fleetside on there yesterday for $200. and as for the door hinge i'd just buy the pin kit from lmc... cheap fix.
JohnC 06-12-2009, 03:29 PM :agree: You can find good beds quite often if you keep an eye out. You can also find the door pin kits at your local parts store too. Just remember all projects start somewhere. Some are rougher than others, but that just means you get to know your truck more! :lol: Just keep thinking positive, and you will make positive ground. It's hard sometimes I know, but this board is a great place for positive re-enforcement.

LiveAnimals 06-18-2009, 06:22 PM There are not to many that gander at the build section, post the same question in the reg 73-87 forum and you will get a responce, there is a guy on here that slapped some 315's on the rear, in my opinion that is plenty of meat for a street set-up.

Today i didn't do much just repaint the Door panels and im still looking for 700r4 i bought a bed floor just waiting on the next check to take it to the body shop
spudz 01-28-2010, 09:54 PM just bolt a new floor in or a used floor. its basicly all bolted in besides a couple tack welds. i wouldnt patch a rusty floor that could be replaced. then just re seam seal it and your golden
