This is a great place. I have made a handful of local friends since joining the board. You should come out to our local get together on the 27th. Gonna be a good time and a chance to meet a lot of folks.

Thanks for the welcome!

I'll do my best to get out there, my 98 GMC took a dive and I am currently without a running vehicle. I live 2 miles from work, so that helps.

I think it is leaking coolant from the head gasket into #4 cylinder, and I don't drive it a whole lot cuz it needs a differential rebuild. I think it is time to put some stop leak in and drive it to a dealership.

You may be able to catch a ride up with someone from down there and ride up if anybody has room. Just a thought anyway. Why take it to a dealership? I ask because if you want to get rid of it...I sell at a Buick, Pontiac, GMC dealer in Longmont. If it is for service work, there is many other good, more affordable, options to get it fixed.

Well, I needed to get rid of the 98 GMC, it was way too gone to save, and it being my only transportation since my '71's water pump died I could not afford to be without a vehicle any longer. Being a single dad every other week, I needed to get around. The GMC needed a Differential overhaul as well, it was making some noise on the highway.

So I did a lot of online shopping, found a '98 Dddd --dd--d---ddddodge online that was in my price range. Put some stop leak in the radiator, drove around for a bit and got the coolant to stop burning. Made it to the dealership, and as I pulled into the parking lot... The Check Engine light went out! I took that as an omen!

LOL so I will do my best to get out there the location is on the website right?

Ohhh and guys feel free to watch my Build thread. I am new to both body work and mechanical work, and am diving headloong into all this so please give me any and all advice you can, I am excited to be able to tap the years of experience you all have.

Thanks!
