I'm not from TN but I'm in Nashville this week. I'm working out at the Smyrna National Guard Training Center today and tomorrow. I've seen a few nice trucks around.

We've also been to the Pigeon Forge truck show two years ago and hope to go again next year.

TN is great, but is it always this HOT!!! Whew!

You know, I think a Mid-South (or whatever) get-together is doable. We could either all take advantage of one of the "rod runs" around the area or just point to a nice place and go for it.

I wish the search engine was up. :( I'm too darn lazy to go sifting through the last hundred days or so worth of posts, but there was a "TN Members" thread sometime back. We could send out e-mails to all of the TN members that we could find.

Might I suggest a possible get-together locale as the Opry Land Hotel in Nashville. I took some friends over there recently and the place is something to see (for man-made buildings, etc.).

My idea was to get the local members together in late September at the Memphis Motorsports park, for the NHRA drags, but I can see that Nashville TN would be benificial to board members in a 4 or 5 state area. Keep us up to date as to the developements.

I'm up for whatever, but yeah a lot of interstates dump right into Nashville here. I haven't heard of any events coming up- but I haven't really checked. We would also need a place to meet. Maybe someone around Nashville has a good place. If not I would definitely be interested in your idea for the NHRA event, too.

If we are really getting serious maybe we should get this moved to the 67-72 board to get some more views and input. ?

Okay...sounds like we have our first annual Chevy Truck Board Mid-South Meet. It will be a good weekend. Everyone invited, bring your trucks or the grocery getter. Bring the kids and spouse too. Don't forget to bring your appetite for nitro.

Sounds like there should be members in Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, that may want to be involved. It will be informal, but a good start off.

I'm game for a git together, hopefully in less than a month i'll have my new engine in and it'll need a good road trip for breakin in. I'm way up in NW TN.

hey, whats up with the meet, was it over the weekend at memphis? i left thursday(18th) and went to petit jean ark. fall swap meet and car show. i didn't really catch on that it maybe was gonna be last weekend at memphis till i just got to reading all the post a little better.

I finally got my POS running, so I am now ready to have a get-together also. My truck sure ain't perty, but it'll get me to and from the grocery store....

Trouper, Rivercitychevy has a truck he is parting out as of a month ago. You might PM him the parts you need, and arrange a time to go see what he's got.

If you go on Fite Rd., accross from Dupont, there is a truck only salvage yard, (Ricks Salvage) and he has numorous of your body style..
