I'm still trying to get my rig running right, but I'd like a little get together. Someplace like Magnuson Park or Lake Sammamish Park? Or, Juanita Beach Park is only a few miles from my house! Just trying to think of places with a lot of space where we can all get the trucks together...

Well, folks. Frank here, met a few of you at the pickups show in Issaquah. I'm the guy with the primer black truck. Had to pull the new motor back out of the truck and it's sitting in the garage waiting to go back to the machine shop next week. The good part to this is it gives me the chance to clean up the engine compartment. So, hope have this back up and running soon. Maybe we'll see ya at a get together or on the road. Any get togethers going on here in the near future????

Frank....sorry I missed you at the XXX show awhile back....I had to catch a plane that afternoon and couldn't stay...

I was at XXX last night and saw first the first time two 67-72 trucks there....one was for sale....both were pretty nice......20 or so cars there....was also at Covington Fred Meyer get together on Friday night.....had 50+ plus cars there and two 67-72 trucks....one of which was mine.....


Good luck on the motor.....and we are still plugging away on a meet before the end of the summer....

Damn, I was at that XXX show, I didn't know any board members would be there. I didn't stay too long, I had to go fix a pinball machine over there. I drove my Gentleman Jim, but it's not quite to the point where I want to park in a car show yet.

That place was pretty cool, I'd never seen that many Cameo's together.

Hey Mike, I think I did meet you. I remember someone that was in a hurry and had to run out of there. I'm sure we will meet again. And to the rest of the group, I have a update on my truck.
Saturday I pulled the motor, it nows rests on the engine stand. Today,(Monday) I tore the whole front clip off and am starting on the clean up of all the old parts and clean up of the replacment body parts I have. I think I will take this oppourtunity to clean up in, around and under the cab or who knows. Probably, a cab off frame clean up. Looks like it is going that way now. So, I'll keep ya posted as to the progress and I'll try and get some pics of the progress posted if your interested.

Don't forget about the Rod Run at Ocean Park. For those of you that live in the South Sound area. It's only about 2 hours to Long BEach. You might even luck out and find a room to stay at. It's alot of fun and there are lots of cars and even a few cool 67-72 chevy trucks and Blazers. Unfortunatly, As stated above, my truck won't be going, But, I will.

Okay here is what I am thinking....

We can do Lake Sammamish Park...however I know for sure I will be at XXX in two weekends......we can have two or more full rows for parking on a Sat evening or Sunday for that matter....

Does anyone have other thoughts?

Tell me how to get to the XXX (I imagine this is a root beer place) and I'll be there.

It's off I90....

coming from I5 either direction....take 90 east to the Issaquah/Front Street exit...when you exit, stay in the right lane so you merge onto front street heading south....get into the left lane (on front street) as you will want to turn left at the light at front street and gilman blvd....once you turn left, XXX root beer place will be on your left.....big sign....can't miss it.

Well since I suffer from night blindness. I use the line buttons to drive by braille and the state patrol takes a dimm view of that practice, I vote for a Sunday.

As for the weather my truck hasn't melted yet one more day of rain isn't going to affect it all that much more.

hey guys,i originally planned on being there to meet yall.but it looks like im not gonna make it:mad: ...my company landed a job with the port of tacoma re-doing glass in a ferry boat...this means ill make prevaling wage=37.50 hr....so im gonna take advantage of this and work every weekend till its done saturday and sundays and weekdays after work... but hey ill have more money for my truck:D

So, Dennis...what is the count? I think Larry Royce (Orence 1) is going to finally drive his truck there. The body work is not done but it is running and ready for a little longer trip than just around the block.

I still run the risk of getting tetanus from my truck everytime I get in or near it...LOL! I have changed all the fluids and the cumulative miles without incident certainly add up to trip out ther an back so I guess it depends upon weather.

I met a neighbor who is nearly finished with a very nice yellow '69 he and his dad have been working on for a year. They are very interested in coming too. For a home garage restoration...they have an outstanding truck! It is a Show and Shine winner for certain.

Directions:

I will be there with my 68 1 ton flat bed.

Thanks for the info. I got my heater core replaced (thanks WES) and carpets installed. Even touched up some chips in the paint.

No, they are not going out of their way for us.....I know the owner and he has a 71 I believe thats competely original.....he is a fan....I am down there all the time...so no big deal....just glad we get to meet a few people and hang out before the end of summer.....if it isn't already here.

Just wanted to check and see, but, Isn't the harley davidson show on the 21?????. I could be wrong, but, that is what it says in the Cruzin Magazine. Hope that it isn't so and it's still a go.
