I feel like the biggest idiot but for the life of me I cannot remove the windshield wiper arms on my 67 chevy stepside so that I can get the hood cowl off. I can't seem to find a clip or screw or bolt or anything to get these things off and you certainly don't have much room to work with.
Can somebody help me out here? Thanks alot
Larry

Mine just pull straight up from the shaft. They are wedged on pretty good. I had to take pliers and lift Use rags arond arms so you dont damage the arms.

paintpyro,
Excellent advice, worked like a charm. Thanks alot.:D
Larry.
there is supposed to be a little clip on the shaft part under the arm that you have to pop out with a small screwdriver to get the wiper off of the shaft

I second Seanh71, There should be a little clip that you have to pull out and the wiper arm should come right off.

Yeah, I found the clip guys and started to play around with it. They were kinda difficult to budge so I just jeft them alone for fear of breaking them and the fact that I wasn't sure that they were even clips tha were holding them on.
I did get them off though, thanks alot for the advice guys.
Larry :) :) :)

lol, as I found out while pumping gas the other night, the only thing you need is a squeege ;) I was cleaning the guys windshield and knocked it right off, lol, stuck it back on before the guy got back out :P

Thanks for the link whughes151. I love getting links like that for tools, parts, etc...
And thats a funny story Russell. I remember doing some stupid ass stuff when I worked for Goodyear and scrambling to fix it before the customer noticed that I flubbed something up royally.
 :D
