i know you guys are out there! its time to fill up this board like the others. let me start. i own a 1950 chevy on a 1980 frame. and i think thats the way to go. i have many 47-72 trucks .and i think the oldest is the best, even if i cant drive her right now. its zero here in w.pa. and the 72 sub 4x4 does all the work.summer will come again. till then-
merry x- mass&happy new year (keep on truckin')

Could you tell a little bit more about your '50 on the '80?? I've been interested for quite some time in putting my '51 cab and front clip on a '73-87 blazer 4x4 chassis.....could you tell what all is done to it, what the drivetrain/powertrain consists of, and what all you had to do on the swap....Thanks, I'm really interested in hearing what all is involved in a swap like that..
MY 50 IS MOUNTED ON A STOCK 80 SHORT BED FRAME. IT USES 80 MOUNTS.INNER FENDER WWELLS ARE CUT OUT TOCLEAR SUSPENION. RIGHT NOW IT HAS 80 STEPSIDE BED, NO BOARDS.IT IS A LITTLE WIDE IN FRONT. BUT ONCE YOU GET USE TO IT, I HAVE NO BIG PROBLEMS. NO BONZI TURNS.ITS ONLY A 350 2 BL.350 AUTO &10 BOLT.JUST A NICE DAILY DRIVER. I DONT OWN ANY TRAILER QUEENS, THESE CHEVYS ARE "LIKE A ROCK"
