Inside the cab corners where the rocker buts up against the cab corner is rusting. It isnt rusted through or pitted. If I were to rub the rust off with the wire brush in the drill then sprayed it with 3m rust fighterI, etchprime, prime, paint would that keep it from rusting?(I can paint over the rust fighter, and from what i've seen it works pretty well)

3M's rust fighterI is meant to be sprayed inside of closed panels like rockers and pillars to work its way inbetween seems and gaps to prevent rust. Its not meant to be sprayed on the outside panels, its not paintable, its a wax based product that never hardends. Most shops that use that product paint the car first then apply the rust fighterI as it can cause paint problems if it gets on any outside panels.
The best thing to do is use a clean-n-stripe wheel from 3M to remove paint and rust. Then etch prime, primer surfacer then paint...Eric

Where does a guy get some of these clean-n-strip wheels from 3M?
I don't like using this grinder I have now for fear of warping my bedsides while I am grinding on it, nor does it do a very good job getting rust out.
