i have a few questions that hopefully you can answer. i read the bazooka threads & it kind of looked like it was almost ready to go. what all did you do to make it roadworthy & reliable, & where was the 6K spent? that rear air ride tubing looked very complicated in my opinion. is that a normal setup, or what? im assuming it was power steering with rack & pinion but did not see pump in any engine pictures. is there any rust issues? is the truck still for sale. mar 10/11. thanks. didsjeff

I'll start off in the rear of the truck, there was zero support for the bedsides so new braces were made, not one air ride fitting was tight or had sealant on them, the trucks' airride couldn't stay up for more then an hour and the tank would leak out even quicker, I removed and resealed a few fittings and replaced others. rear brakes were not hooked up and even if they were the wheel cylinders were seized so all new cylinders, brake lines were ran as well as a new adjustable proportioning valve, the lines that were installed were a tangled mess so every steel and flex brake line was installed new and routed properly. The rear axle had no vent so it was easy for water to enter the diff, the threads were chased in the housing and a vent was installed. The fuel lines were not routed safely and had incorrect clamps so all the fuel lines were replaced and properly routed. The transmission cooling lines were also not properly installed and has incorrect clamps, all new hoses were again ran. The battery cables were melted on the headers so new cables were installed and properly routed as well as a new battery. The wiring and vacuum lines were not hooked up properly and most of the underhood wiring was a mess, all now repaired including getting it to run well, when I got it it was completely out of tune and nowhere near running well enough to take for a drive. The carb was rebuilt, timing and a/f was adjusted The steering column had no support and moved around, none of the steering shafts joints were installed correctly, the rack notches were installed too far forward so they put spacers behind the rack so the tie rods would clear the notches, this caused such terrible bumpsteer that the truck would actually would not roll down a hill if you moved it up even an inch from when the wheels were straight, the rack flexed so much on the long bolts they installed through the spacers that while turning, the complete rack would moved side to side before the wheels would even turn. New rack notches were welded in to correct that mess and new rack bushing and bolts were installed without spacers. The truck had no gauges though he did have a panel with gauges that I had to install. Currently it only needs a fuel tank sender for all the gauges to work properly. The power steering pump was leaking because they tried to mate o-ring type P.S. lines and inverted flare P.S. pump fittings. There were other little things I took care as well. The frame work was done fairly nicely and gets the truck low but it was done more for a wow factor then anything else, the trailering arms would have been fine. he truck is clean and has no rust to speak of.
