This truck is 100% dependable, reliable and ready to be completely broken in by the new owner. The entire drive train is basically brand new with approx. 6800 miles total on it since it was installed. It is ready to start and drive from here to new york and back if you wanted and then to alaska and cown to arizona after that trip... The paint is not perfect by any means but it cleans up pretty dern nice and turns many heads.. Most every thing that needs done to this rig is merely cosmetic. The only issues that I know of that need serviced is the AC needs charged. I am not aware of any other thing needing repair. (Everything Works) There is not much that has not been touched/rebuilt/and or replaced when I did the restore on it a handful of years back. I spared no expense when I built it because I thought I was going to continue on to put a brand new paint job on it and have the frame cleaned and painted and apply undercoating to the wheel wells. But I had a miserable blood vessel disease attack me and now my legs go numb because I don't have enough leg room in this truck. That is the only reason I am selling it.

I have never even so much as attempted to burn rubber or spin the tires on pavement or dirt with this rig. These things cost way to much money to beat on them. Unless of course you have the money and you intend on racing it or being rough on it.. I just want to personally assure you that the only reason I am selling this truck is because of medical issues with my legs.. I have never over-revved and or red-lined the motor. I personally gaurantee it has been treated with the utmost respect. It stopped using oil because of the break in well over 3500 miles ago.(didn't use much anyway). I know for a fact it does not use any because I had to use the truck for a job that was about a 2 hour drive from my home last summer. I did 7 full round trips on the truck which equals about a 1300 miles. The oil did not drop even a hair during those 10 days, and today with 1500 more miles on it the oil level has not dropped at all. This is one tight, very nice motor.. Broken in expertly and carefully using nothing but the strictest instructions from the manufacturer of the motor(smeding) and Edelbrock. I was building it for me to last me through my retirement years.

Truck is 95% rust free. Very minor problems here and there. Nothing major. No sheet metal needs replacing.(except for one area in the bed: see photo). The rest of the photos show only the mildest of rust problems. Look at the rockers and the door corners, the cab corners etc.. They are in excellent condition.. Some minor work needing done. The worst dent is on the passenger door which can easily be pulled out. I have included many photos of underneath the truck so you can see there are no major rust issues. There are tons of donors out there so I was just going to cut out a small piece of a donor bed and weld it in. Pretty minor fix for someone with any body work experience. The underneath and frame is really pretty clean. Would not take a whole lot of work to get it ready to paint/undercoat. Notice the Rubber Cab Mounts are not cracked at all and do not need replacing.

I have all receipts, manuals etc. I have a box full of 69-72 chevy parts that go with it(just odds and ends).. I have excellent condition stock replacements (blue visors/belts/arm rests) that go with the truck. I have an excellent condition front grill that also goes with the truck.. And of course the Roof Top Rack recently rebuilt and welded and repaired where the bolts attach to the quick-tache brackets. So it is ready to carry supplies for another 20 years.

To Do what I did to the truck 6 years ago would cost at least 27K because of price increases on engines, transmissions, AC parts, Tires, etc. etc. etc.. Make me a fair offer.. You will not be disapointed with this truck. It is a beauty, and drives like it is brand new, which for all intents and purposes is. Everyone, and I do mean everyone that rides in or drives this truck exclaims repeatedly how it is such a nice truck.. It is.. I hate that I can't keep it..But life and needs change.

Truck is 100% roadworthy and ready to roll.

The special order custom built NEW Smeding High Performance 383 stroker with the edelbrock fuel injection runs like a monster. (360 HP when carbureted/fuel injected 400 plus)Coupled with the brand new 700r4 auto trans conversion it is a superb machine. The Motor is 100% brand new parts. New block, heads, new everything from inside out.. Roller cam.. Four bolt main. $4200(engine only).

This motor coupled with the Edelbrock "true" fuel injection set up makes this truck perform unbelievably. This rig goes through those 7500 foot mountain passes like a sports car. Truly amazing. On the open highway at speed limits and no stopping and starting using the overdrive I get about 13. Not bad for a 400+ horse machine with an Auto Trans and fairly big rubber. Runs great on regular grade.

Edelbrock Throttle Body Fuel Injection System 2400.00

Brand New 700R4 4sp/overdrive Transmission Conversion
High Performance build with Vette shift kit and HP parts. 3000.00

The coveted Gear Drive Transfer Case(np205)with all of the best and correct adapters/shaft money could buy for the 700r4 conversion. It was not hacked together. Adapters($450).

LOKAR 16" automatic transmision/floor mount shifter with detent button for overdrive and gear selection. (While doing the 700r4 covnversion I really didn't like the idea of putting in a column linkage column. Plus I have always loved the 4 speed stick, so this Lokar shifter let me keep a bit of my 4spd feel and looks good and works great and saved me from having to mess with the column shift and linkage). $260.

Custom Ground Vette 2½" Center dump exhaust manifolds 400.00(I personally spent a day grinding off all non-essential lugs and etc. so they look like they came with and belong on the motor. These center dumps as any chevy enthusiest knows are the very next best thing to headers.. I actually like them more. They never come loose, and they are not as hot, and noisy. For the very minor loss of performance compared to headers, give me the center dumps anyday..

Yes I would love to "keep her".. lol.. I am a cabinetmaker by trade.. The last 5 years has been literally dead.. So my dreams of making it a king cab have basically gone by the wayside. However I am an inventor too.. I have an invention coming to market very soon. It was actually put on sale at the Las Vegas hardware tradeshow at the beginning of Feb. If it takes off and starts bringing in some money, who knows maybe I will realize the dream some day. I love love love this truck.. and would love to completely trick it out. But we shall see.. I need something to happen monetarily as the cabinet industry is not coming back around yet, and since it died in 2007, I have had to sell off nearly everything I own to survive.. my guitar collection gone, guns, music equip. etc. etc.. The Med issue is a life long condition and is no cure. I got some rare disease called buergers.. the smallest blood vessels just die and they aint never coming back. Teh best I can hope for is to keep my limbs for the rest of my life.. Nearly lost my left leg up to the calf by amputation because of it.. Day before.. and I do mean the very day before I was going into the hospital to have the amputation the Good Lord decided to remove the swelling that had been there for nearly 13 weeks, and allowed enough blood flow to get through so the amputation was not necessary. Lost half my big toe to gangrene though, but hey,, not bad. So I thank the Father for that every day.. Thank you very much for your note. It meant a lot to me.. if you want to check out my invention you can go to www.doorjammer.net that is the website I built and put up to send perspective investors/licensee offers to view. Ended up getting a licensing deal 2 years ago and just now this month,, we are headed to market. Not available for actual sale as of yet because none in stock. But that should change in about 3 weeks.. All the best to you 57Napco..

Hey Chevy Chaser. The dual shift knobs.. one is for the transfer case. The other is a Lokar (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/lo...overview/)auto shifter used to control the 700r4 conversion. Mine is a 16" rather than the 8" shown in that link. Being my truck was a standard 4 speed with the granny gear, I never had a shifter on the column.. So I went with the lokar which has the detent and shift capabilities for the overdrive..

As far as the EFI.. It is all there.. The manifold is Edelbrock Aluminum with injectors on each cylinder.. Definately can't see that in the photos. The "computer" is mounted/installed behind the glove box. I bought a new glove box and modified it so the brain would fit. You would never know the box had been modified. The brain is sitting on top of the AC/heater blower box assembly and inbetween/underneath the firewall ledge installed inside of waterproof heavy duty plastic and foam rubber wrap to keep it isolated from heat/bumps and etc. http://www.partsgeek.com/ldg9knh-che...jection+System

MAN OLIVE. has the price gone up for this system.. yikes.. welp, just makes mine more of a deal.. lol.. thanks for looking and the questions..

And thanks 67-72trucks registered user.. It really is a very nice truck.. I love it.. everytime I drive it I WISH I had shorter legs, or legs without blood flow problems would be better yet.. lol

Is your truck still available? I know this listing is quite old, but if you still own it I would be interested.

Thank you

Nick
