hey thanks guys, well it was pretty easy, i got discouraged with my real 1 ton frame because of rust, this trucks frame was a 1/2 ton frame so the 1 ton conversion just consisted of axles, cats outta the bag its a fake k30!

Posted this one on a thread quite a while ago - maybe worth it again. This little horse does a lot of work around here.

Really nice looking truck you have. What size are your wheels and tires and what are the off of?

Im preaty sure the wheels are original to the truck and are 18in not exactly sure of the width, the spid says the spare is 18x5. Still has bias ply tires on it also.

One other strange thing about the truck is it has the 14000lb GVW plate, but it did not come with the 11000lb heavy duty axle. Im not sure if that GVW plate is on there because of the wheels and suspension it has or if the factory made a mistake.

What wheels (brand) are those on the wrecker, BTW nice looking

tobytuttle - just saw you question. Off the top of my head, I don't know the brand of those wheels. Have so many of these oldies around here that I soon forget what brand stuff is on which one. Next time I'm out in that garage I will try to figure it out, and will reply once I know.

I just picked up this 1970 fresh off the farm, the cattle racks are laying down. The 350 was rebuilt in late 80's and the 4spd shifts great. The PO took very good care of ,the jack tool bag even behind the seat. The spid is missing time to make it how I want.

MAN that's a good looking 70, wish I could find a looong wheel base truck in that nice of shape. Coop
