It now rolls without rollers under it:metal: all the steering components are niw installed. We are well underway. I will have to have wheel spacers now though to run my weld wheels. :smoke:

Sorry about that Larry. Looks great though. I'm assuming you needed the wheel spacers for the front?

Re: 68 project

Not a problem ... yes, drop spindles do not work well with 15 inch wheels

72_swb 01-20-2017 10:17 PM

Re: 68 project

nope. Forgot about the 15s. I do love those wheels. I'm trying to find an old photo of a 72 that had the same wheels

Love the steady flow of updates. I agree, it could lose another inch or two in the rear. I'm just picturing it tucking those tires and it would look rad!

Got the hood stripped and skimming with bondo. Hood is one of the worst panels to get straight. :smoke:

Looking good. Are you running 4" drop rear springs. Are you opposed to blocking the rear end an inch or two. To get your hieght your wanting. I couldn't find and 6" drop springs.

Re: 68 project

Right now I have 4 inch springs and 2 inch blocks. I am going to get a set of 5 inch springs
