hey Dan!
thank you. no reason really.
i didnt bother to fix that little thing because from most angles its not really noticeable and it doesnt bother me...

Do you mind telling me WHICH Comp Cam grind you went with? I just have a little 283 with 350TH tranny but an Edelbrock dual plane manifold, Pertronix ignition, headers etc. and it doesn't provide enough vacuum to run a vacuum booster for power brakes but I see your does, presumably.

Here is a link to the cam in my truck on youtube.

I have 15 inches of vacuum but you do have a smaller engine. My brakes work great and it idles in gear with a stock convertor. It also works fine with stock valve springs because of the lift. But if you don't like the idle you can go smaller. I run the High Energy 268H Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft Only
Lift: .454''
Duration: 268°
RPM Range: 1500-5500
Jegs 12-210-2
The smaller cam is the 260 degree 440 lift but pretty well idles smooth.

Thanks!
It came from the factory with the Delux grille but when I bought it from the original owner
the front end was a bit wrecked, grille and fenders, so this is what I ended up with.
Always liked the Delux front end. but I will live with this one

Both trucks look really good! Solid, any other pics of yours? What would it cost to have your grill chromed? Maybe one bazillion dollars? :)

Love that Primer red. My 1st truck a 66 Chevy long bed was primer red and grey for the longest until my uncle painted it green. Are you riding air bags or static?

CMACDONALD1 09-11-2015 02:32 PM

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

Thanks Deejaynola! The 54 is static dropped. Mustang II front suspension and leafs in the rear.

Thanks for the info. Sorry I took forever to remember to come back to this thread. Your truck sounds GREAT. What exhaust are you running? Pipe size and mufflers?

51 set up old school static no bags, But it would be killer laid out. 350/350 truck has 2500 miles on build. GM clipped with 2.73 rear built to DRIVE!. Too many in the heard, this one has to go. Hate too but this one has to go.

No rust, all you see is the real deal Patina.
