Sorry for the crappy pic but I messed with the seats some tonight and here's a rough look at how they will make a cot/bed. Pretty happy with it so far. Tried out the seats and I could totally fall asleep on them no problem. Lol

It's just the wiring mess from the air ride. Most of it is all taped up and nice. That's just the ends of the wires. Didn't want to wire it all in completely until I got further along with my floors

Woke up this morning to heavy fog so my school district called for a 2hr delay. So I drove out to my moms place where I work on the truck and got busy. Rise and grind!!

Started working on the exhaust. Decided to dump it out before the rear wheel. Also got the tank in place after a buddy tacked it up. Going to try to get the tank stuff done this weekend. Still shooting to put floors in it by the end of the month.

Made the pipe a little long for now. Planning on doing more with it later but for now I need the fumes outside of the cab so I can move it/drive it for more than 10 seconds without dying from fumes.

Kind of got into a funk where I didn't feel like doing much so I avoided the truck for a few days. Not sure why. Got busy with school and we moved. But I finally got my groove back like Stella and decided I better get going if I want this thing done this spring. Plus I'm only 2 weeks away to spring break so hopefully I can put floors in it on my week off.

I continued today with working on the tranny tunnel. Plan is to try and get most of it done tomorrow then pull the drivetrain to get all the firewall/tranny tunnel stuff done.

I decided I'm going to make the tranny tunnel pretty square so that if I have passengers or myself want to climb in the back it can act as almost a step. Also I figure if I decide to run a different drivetrain in the next couple of years hopefully I won't have to redo anything.

Did a little work on the gas tank I'm building over the weekend. I'm being a cheap ass and didn't want to buy an external pump kit mainly because I think they are noisy and they always eventually burn up it seems. I looked at the Aeromotor or whatever universal kits but I don't have $600+. I also wanted to use the factory style sending unit and pump because I know it's meant for that engine set up, I will still have a fuel guage, and a complete replacement pump and all was like $120; the pump being like $40. So I made a plate, machined down lip for the factory O ring to sit in, drilled and tapped some holes. Not I just need to weld the sending unit to the top plate I also made and it'll all bolt together and be good to go.

The lower plate was 1/4 stainless. Here's a pic with the O ring in place

And then the top plate with the sending unit. Should work out well.

Another view. Pretty happy with it so far. Looking at buying a bead roller. Found a nice Mittler Bros one Craigslist and have an offer from someone to buy my 52 Packard. If I sell it I think I'll try to pick up the head roller.

Being an idiot as usual. I was inside the truck kinda pretzeled up in a weird spot. Needed to trim a piece of metal. Was using the damn grinder of death and slipped. Footing slipped and I lost my balance and couldn't let go of the grinder fast enough. Thought I just cut my jeans then I felt something warm running down my leg. Moved my jeans and saw cottage cheese. $25 co-pay got it covered. Lol

Nice work on the floor. But maybe you should stick to manual tools,

.............. And that is always my fear.

Still, the build goes on and I love it.
