Agree detroit or a grizzley locker. You'll need to find an open carrier to install them in.

Thanks for the input guys

Soo for those of you wondering if this truck is just another trailer queen.. answer is no, unless that means it always has a trailer hooked up then yes lol
Hauled this house section just yesterday. I was very pleased with how the truck handled it, felt a lot of confidence behind the wheel. She could definitely haul much heavier payloads. My friend took a video of me climbing a very steep grade on a gravel road, i'll get it posted when he sends it to me.
Heres a few pics, enjoy

That's my kind of trailer queen! Are the Mickey's e range. Seems like a lot of the larger tires I've looked at jump around between d and e somewhat randomly.

Re: 89 crew cab k20 4wd twin turbo cummins swap

They're D range rated for 3,750 lbs. which I think is pretty impressive for a soft mud tire

Re: 89 crew cab k20 4wd twin turbo cummins swap

That's really good and a lot higher than many load range e tires.

That's a good idea! Just leave the cat in neutral with the blade down?

Re: 89 crew cab k20 4wd twin turbo cummins swap

yea it worked perfectly, he dropped the blade half way then started pushing down harder to slow me down, til my cv joint popped, thats why I stopped

Awesome!!! Bummer on the drive shaft

That stinks on the front drive shaft. Did I see your front axle hopping pretty good towards the end when the blade started going down on the dozer? That was probably the culprit that killed the drive shaft.

Saw the dozer video on Facebook. Wow what a bunch of stupid assholes leavin comments. It was kinda funny to see all the "know it all" comments that obviously came from guys who didn't know **** about this beast you've built.

Re: 89 crew cab k20 4wd twin turbo cummins swap

Hey guys haven't been on here in months, thought i'd give ya a quick update. Winter flew by and spring fieldwork really snuck up on me so the truck never got put back together. Building a new home was no help either!.. I just dropped the head back on last night. Hoping to have it running and out of storage this weekend! When I pulled the head off to replace the head gasket I found major piston slap damage! And this block is already bored to the max so decided to throw it back together and have fun for the summer while looking for a stock 24 valve block I can swap everything into next winter. I think this block is cursed anyway ; ) So if you guys hear of any plz lemme know! I also know where a good filled 24v block is if somebody is just looking to make a puller we can trade. Anyway beer break is over, back to work on the white giant.
