Thx for your service to country first and C10's second.

Wow, amazing thread, I think I read it all :) Afraid to go back and re-read.

Did I see it will NOT work on a 1965 GMC dash ?

Yes the dashboards are different between GMC and Chevrolet. But my smaller side vents will work.

Any ideas when the small side vents will be available?

Got the center vent installed, scary cutting the dash. I'll try to get a pic or two once I finish installing my new head unit and speakers.

I had some setbacks with the side vents so its going to be a few months. I need to make a whole new master part and then make a mold

Hi
Thanks for the side vent balls, so the housings i had fell apart and no amount of glue will help it!! Do you have a pair (side vent housings) for sale? 2end grade would be ok as long as they are functional.
Thx

Unfortunately, the PO already hacked up the radio hole, so I got a single DIN radio and installed. I got the center AC vent and radio installed, but didn't take a final pic, DOH! Looks real nice, though. Now away for work for 2 weeks, I'll try to remember to post pic when I get back. nsb29's vent box fits pretty well. I got pics of that mounted with center 4.5 inch coax speakers. A little tight but I could have gained a bit more room. Going to post those pics over on his thread.

Can I be put on the list for a set. (Raw) do you except PayPal? Thanks Al

corvettejim1968 09-23-2015 02:33 PM

Re: 1964-1966 center a/c vent

if anybody wants the set in raw let me know because I can have a set ready in a couple of days. plus its cheaper. $225 for the center assembly and $300 for the package deal.

the chrome process is whats killing me on time. you can get it done or just paint them and save time and money.

The new center assembly and side vents are fantastic. I am looking at picking up both but can you enlighten me on how to run extra hoses and tap into the OE factory a/c to make this work? I have not seen that on the blog anywhere. Is there a previous link/ Thanks....

I have yet to see anybody tap into an original air conditioning system to run the two extra hoses. I am confident that with some mechanical skills and some ingenuity it can be done. When I came up at the side vents I was actually intending them to work with the Vintage Air or something like that.
