Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Crew Cabs Part II

Anyone out there that can tell me what was attached to the small pillar in between the doors on a 73 3+3 crew cab?
there are two 3/8 holes on each side near the bottom spaced about 1" on center,I am sure there was a emblem of some sorts there, but don't know what it looks like.
Anyone know ?
Thanks

The area between the doors is not visible when the doors are closed, so I doubt there would be any kind of emblem. Would this have been where the wiring for the door would be? You can see in the pic where the wiring comes out just above the lower hinge.

There is a rubber door bumper down there on each door. Not sure if that's the location you're talking about or not. LMC catalog will show you. Hope that helps

Damn...that looks good. So is it a round eye truck with 89-91 front or a late model truck with an early bed?

EDIT:  two different state's plates?

Thanks! Its a 91 R3500 with the suburban front end. I'm not sure what year the bed was but it is an earlier bed. I bought the truck like this so I need to start digging into it and making it my own. The plates are different cause I took one photo when I first got it and the other one today.

I saw this the other day looking at a another crew cab he had for sale.
29k original miles on it, beautiful truck. He is going to keep it stock, but is swapping in power windows and a cloth interior.

Loving the ole Fire dept iron and still blown away at the low mileage gems out there.

That's a very clean looking truck and less mileage that mine, as she just turned 36,000 the other day.

Drool!
