AWESOME! Love the rendering. I have one for my Blazer that is very similar with the 68 clip however it is red and white instead of blue and white. Who did the rendering? Yours is a little better than mine, haha!

Jeff,
A girl I used to work with did it for me. Unfortunately she's no longer with us.
She used KevsClassics blazer as the base. He took pics just so I could do the rendering from them. He also sells some very nice tilt columns. :D

I purchased this 1970 2wd blazer from a board member who did an awesome job. I want to clear the air. I am not claiming to have build it. I had it for sale on another site and just got overwelmed with emails and really misspoked myself. AMP is responsible for the build. I hope this will resolve my stupid mistake.

Very nice!, The roadster doors look great. What size wheels and tires and suspension are you running.Nice to see more Washington state Blazers on the road. My black 72 should be a driver this summer.

I'm running 17's with 8's in the front an 10's in the rear. Can't remember the tire sizes off the top of my head. The suspension is all ART with drop spindles. What kinda stuff you running?

Re: How many 2 wheel drive blazers do we have?

Im using the fatman suspension up front with a c notch and drop springs in the back. Its a static drop right now, but will probably switch to air ride after this summer. For wheels I am planning on running Billet specialties qualifiers 17x8s up front and 18x9.5s in the back. I havent picked my tires yet, but that will happen very soon. My Blazer is a black 72 with a 68 nose. I'm also going to do the roadster doors. This project has taken a long time and I'm very anxious to wrap it up.

Here's my 72' GMC Jimmy factory 2wd. I'm not much of a picture guy, so I don't have pics of the truck when I got it or while I was pulling the body off, etc. I got the dimensions for the body cart off of a board member-body sits perfectly level. Thanks! This board has a wealth of knowledge. Plans are LS/t56 combo, setup for handling with porterbuilt components (many paychecks stand between Nate's parts and my Jimmy lol), 68' GMC front clip (keep it GMC!!!), the whole 9...you guys know how it is. Never ends...:gmc2:

Looks good Phil, and sounds like it'll be a fun ride when done! I know the feeling of the many paychecks issue...

nice start phil, looks pretty clean...know all about paychecks not making it to the end month. thats why it has taken 10 years for my build, but our classifieds has helped me out, and a few free parts. great board we got here!

just keep pluggin' away when you can, good luck with it

gotta work on the pics, gives us something to look at:lol:

I was trying to show how shiny and black the paint is and the lighting wasnt very good. The date on the pics is wrong also, I took them on 2/1/12

Your Blazer's gonna be really nice. :metal::metal:
What are you doing for fuel filler?

Topfuelflat 02-05-2012 05:19 AM

Re: How many 2 wheel drive blazers do we have?

Thanks, the fuel filler is behind the side marker light. I'm happy with the way it turned out, I'll post some pics soon.

Kevin,

I don't believe I've seen your avatar pic before. Are you holding out on new pics for us? ;)

I'd be interested in how fast/slow it allows you to put gas in.

Me too, A friend of mine did the same setup and his was slow, he needed better venting. I hope that I have that problem solved.

Re: How many 2 wheel drive blazers do we have?

The P.O. hid the fuel fill on my Blazer behind the side marker light. I have a '72 Jimmy with a stock filler. Both of 'em are kinda hard to put fuel in, they tend to splash back and shut the nozzle off. It's hard to wiggle the cap out from inside side marker light opening on the Blazer. I've been looking for one of those permanent gas caps that has the place in the center where you poke the nozzle in. It'd be a big improvement to swing the hinged side marker light open and just stick the nozzle in. I haven't found a cap small enough to fit inside the opening yet.

Re: How many 2 wheel drive blazers do we have?

The type of cap that you put the nozzle through the center is what I am using. I will get the part# ,I don't remember where I got mine,I'll have to dig through my receipts. They are spendy but I believe they are worth it and will eliminate one big hassle.
