Thanks XMAN! That's what I was thinking. The molded part fits better if you do it the other way, but it would look crazy with the seam being exposed like that. I'm curious as to why they make the overlap so large? There's about a foot and a half of wasted carept!?!?! Do you think there would be any problem with shortening the front piece at the rear? I would make it fit a better and be less bulky.

I never understood as to why it was so long either. Mine was about a foot over the rear carpet. I don't see an issue for shortening the carpet just make sure the ends are finished so pile doesn't come unraveled and pull apart on you. You think that the carpet manufactures would create a one piece carpet for the passenger compartment. I know it's a big piece but would look cleaner.

I think I figured out why. My guess is that they use the same front piece for trucks as well as suburbans, and thereby reducing cost of inventory and tooling.

Probably a dumb question, but does the front piece go over the back piece or vice versa?

How has the fit on this "formed" carpet package been? Looks pretty good in the pictures!

It's pretty good. Will hopefully post some more pics in the next couple of weeks as I finish the interior up.
