Here is the finished chassis for the 56 Nomad. Pwr, strg, brakes, factory air, wonderbar, tinted glass, power pack, etc.

Not a good pic, but the first one I found.

A guy wanted the car worse than I did so I sold it before I finished it. It's up in special-K's part of the country now.

Wow, that looks really good. Throw up some more!

There is a 57 Nomad that shows up for shows around here. Guy just got it back on the road after a deer hit a couple years ago.

How come I never notice you had an LSx motor in this car?

Hey Tony, I don't know. Car is fun but not a big attention getter. Weren't you at MM?

Yes, I was there again this year. I saw your car there, but didn't get a chance to see you. I think two years ago you showed me the motor. Did it have the LSx then? I'll pay more attention next year.

Yep, we installed the LS in 2012. I was in and out a lot last MM and sorry to miss you! We'll have to hook up next year.

Yes, the power steering box from Borgenson is a nice quality piece. Bolted right in place and has performed well for 5,000 miles.

Doug, I'm going to Ohio next week to pick up a company truck. I haven't decided what route I'm taking on the way back, but if I come back on I-70 I might just swing by your place.

That green Chevy really is a nice ride! I always loved the '56es, and was close
to buying one, before I settled on my '57 Pontiac.

Oh my, I really did an old timey engine swap when I swapped a TPI engine into
my 1957 Chieftain, didn't I?
In all honesty, I was looking for an LS1, but in 2010 the cost was too much. I
found a 1987 Pontiac TransAm GTA, which donated the vital organs, a 350 TPI
and the TH700r4 transmission.
I still own the car, and it's had some 30,000 miles on the clock with the injected
engine providing nice mileage. 42% increase in mpg, but then the old mill was in
pretty bad shape;)

Thanks Flatbed. The 56 is still a very fun driver. Your TPI swap looks good!
