I don't have any picture updates right now. It's kind of a long story but it's in the body shop now so hopefully I'll be able to start doing final assembly soon!

I think that's saddle interior would look koooool with the blue ... What's your plan if you don't mind me asking very nice build

Re: 1967 GMC 4X4 Long Box Build

I'm trying to keep it as original as possible and I'm going with the fawn colored interior. I agree the saddle would've cool but want to keep it original. I haven't made any progress on it besides getting the engine running and broken in. It's still in body shop prison.

The truck is looking great. I'm going to have to stop looking at it and start working on my own. Keep up the great work.

Re: 1967 GMC 4X4 Long Box Build

It's been a long time since I've updated but here's where I stand right now. I found out that the firewall on a lot of the 67 GMC's was the interior fawn color instead of the body color so I decided to go that route since I like the look better. I've got the interior of the cab painted now and sitting back in the frame so I can finally start putting some of the interior parts back together while the body shop works on the box. I'm going to get as much of the firewall parts back before final assembly while it's easier to access.

Well it finally got painted! The front end is all together besides the grille. Gaps turned out really nice. I really like the medium blue color as well.

No new pictures for now. Life has gotten in the way and I haven't been able to get any more work done since the last pictures. Hope I can make some progress before spring. I'd really like to be able to drive it this summer!

I like that blue, what color is it?

Re: 1967 GMC 4X4 Long Box Build

It's medium blue. I believe the paint color for a 67 is 505

Re: 1967 GMC 4X4 Long Box Build

Well it’s been a couple years since I’ve updated this build. I’ve finally almost got it complete but it’s been slow going. Since I started the truck we’ve had 3 children and the oldest one is now 5 years old so he’s become my assistant. I’m going to attempt to post more pictures as I put the finishing touches on it.

I put a Sound deadner down before the carpet just to help with the noise a little bit. I used Fat Mat brand.

Here’s a picture after the gas tank and carpet went in along with my exhausted right hand man.

Finally a pic of the completed door panels.
