Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
Love the color.....the spoilers I don't mind........but I hate to say it...I hate those wheels. but it might grow on me.

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
Don't feel bad, at first I hated them too. It was a huge leap of faith to do them in this color. Now, I wouldn't change them at all. They have officially grown on me.

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
Looks awesome, but the older I get I'm not big on shaved handles. Maybe those flush mount ones would set it further apart. But otherwise truck looks sick

I was going to send you a PM but you don't have PM. Can you do a thread on your "Phillips 69" build? I am building my truck for Auto Cross and need some more inspiration. Not many C10 auto cross builds out there. Heres my truck. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=632303 Sorry don't me to get this thread off topic. |
Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
Let me put some stuff together, and I will get a thread started here in the next few days. I will post up the link on this thread for you when I get it on here.

It was definitly nice having something to reference to. Ben did a great job for us. He took good notes as to what I wanted, and ran with it.

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
Love all his renderings, love this truck, love the 69. Don't care what other people like, I'm so tired of stock looking trucks on bags and patina trucks. Kind of like 69 Camaros, I walk past them at shows because I've already seen a few thousand of them. Different is great, keep up the awesome work!

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
So glad to see this build on the site finally! I've been stalking you on FaceBook since the beginning, lots of awesome work, but I expected that knowing what the '69 could do on the track. Can't wait to see more updates! BTW - did ya'll ever decide to make the t-shirts with the C10 silhouette logo??

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
Hey Rob,
Whats your plans for the LS motor? Keep it stock? Which LS motor you using? Thanks |
Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
That truck looks great! Looking forward to following the progress

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
Im not a lowered truck kind of guy but I love everything about this truck .
|
Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
I have always had a like for the slightly lowered, a 4-6 drop has always been the max for my comfort zone. This one we are around 7" front and 11" rear. I definitly stepped outside my comfort zone with this truck in so many aspects. But the comments and praise has led me to believe I am going in the right direction with this one.
I do have to give thanks to everyone on this forum for the great comments and support. It's the little things like that, that keep me doing what I do. Quote:

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
a couple of 12 volt actuators and brackets 1 stainless piano hinge and 1- 3 way switch and some fab work and you have a hidden adjustable in cab controlled air dam for less than $400.00 ....it would give the truck a cleaner look and could also be done to the front air dam to give it the transfomer edge Also exhaust cut outs and an actuated set of hidden wheelie bars for the drag race crowd in some of us ...think about it you pull up to the line hit the switch the exhaust dumps the air dams actuate and the wheelie bars extend and lock in place and the air suspension drops to pre set "drag or road race settings "... NOW that's COOL >>>, Soon to be seen on my '67 build .SURVIVOR , It's only metal until you drive it down the road ,Then it's a truck !:chevy:

Here is a little sneek peek of a couple items that are on the C10R that are in Carbon Fiber.
My question to all of you is. If you could buy Carbon Fiber Parts for a C10 What would be the items you would like to see? |
Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R
I'm building a custom console with custom polished backlit stainless trim to house the hidden key ignition like you pictured and using a red led start button in the dash ,Also running a Muncie 4 speed with Hurst shifter with the "GO BABY GO " Nitrous button built into the shift handle and custom built interior with a power rear window . Love your carbon fiber panels I noticed the Katzkin logo on your buddybuckets are they making covers for them now ?.:chevy:

For looks, stuff like an instrument panel, glove box door, door panel inserts would be cool. Too bad you didn't ask this a year ago, my truck is nearly finished now and I've already got all my parts...:waah: |
