I should be in great shape hopefully..... |
Re: Bedrail caps
Are yours to long in the back ? I drove mine today and the doors stuck . I'm cutting another 1/8 of of the front, this will brake into the end and I'll re glass it. Watch the revile at the bottom 1/3 of the door. Good luck

I have the bedrail caps and windshield cap. The windshield cap it pretty thin and it is going to take a little bit of work to get a proper fit.

Re: Bedrail caps
Anyone else bought and installed these caps, my blazer has been on hold for some time, trying to get back to it and get it ready to paint...
Thanxs |
Re: Bedrail caps
bringing old thread up......side rail caps are now $692.00 on TMI website...
was going to buy a set but thats a little pricey..........anyone else making any? |
Re: Bedrail caps
I changed my mind on these caps not long after trying to get the fit I wanted. I sold them and went another direction, I sawed the outer top off 6 rusted out doors and welded then to the top of the bed rails and broke som sheetmetal and welded it in on the backside. I haven't had any body work done in the area yet but it turned out great, the rear corners where a lil tricky but it worked out to my satisfaction. I would post pictures but have never had luck with that but I will try.

I raised the bedsides and tail gate and if I recall I used 8 rough doors to do it.
I used rectangular tubing for the cap and it gave the rail top great strength. |
