Well, don't go expecting any special treatment just because you're blue...
We treat 'em all the same, that's what makes this board better than others! Just kiddin', Rg |

It's money well spent, I know it takes alot of time and effort to keep this board running...

that makes scence you would need the a piller to stablize the front of the window when its up my piller is gone cause i am not putting a window back i was just showing the amount off top of door i think the window will be stable just being held in by a piller and making the horz felts tight fit to glass if you can get regulator remounted to make room for larger glass

Pharcyde05, did you cut the front pillar of the door off too? I am doing the same thing on mine and wad debating if I should cut the front pillar portion of the door off or to leave it on. I am going to chop down my windshield two inches and weld the cowl panel to the frame and then move out the windshield mounting lip to have a flush mount windshield and lay it back just a touch and shave off the top of the drip rail and make it smooth.

Sorry about the thread resurection here but,....
I was searching for posts about door cracks in the hinge area and found this. I read through and it got me to thinking and remembering my 1st car - 1974 Impala 2dr hardtop. It had HUGE doors, no vent windows and no window support frames above the door. Thinking "yeah, but it is supported by the hardtop" - I went searching for a similar converible and found this photo: http://www.paradeboots.com/pictures/...mpala_conv.jpg Is this not the same design we are shying away from when going to 1 peice windows on Blazers & Jimmies? GM used it for years. Are we making too much of the unsupported window theory? Just some food and photo for thought..... Herb |
