after browsing a GM parts catalog here's the part #s 4 the full convertible sheetmetal (the #s listed have been discontinued since the early 1980s and sadly no one offers the parts for rust repair - since the advent of the 3D printer new stamping dies could b manufactured 2 reproduce the parts needed 4 the conversion including the rocker boxs (a 73-77 rocker box can b lengthened for a 78-91 if spot welded in the same spot as the older 73-75 full convertible)

326995 outer windshield frame (73-75)
326996 inner windshield frame (73-75)
326997/326998 windshield frame cap (this might be spot welded inside the inner windshield frame) (73-75)
349360 roof front inboard mounting plate (3) (73-75)
337719/337720 door glass window guide (full convertible doors - has additional brkt)

Maybe I'm a bit mad, but why not sell the car and just buy a full convertible model and do the upgrading as needed? Is it going to be more expensive that way?

Re: My 89 Full Convertible Blazer

A restored 73-75 full convertible (fully loaded and built) will break the bank @ $25,000 - this also includes pre-1973 base model musclecars (as of 2016 a base Chevelle (with the Malibu trim or base 300, or base Camaro) have appraised @ $10,000 where it not considered entry level on a budget; since the introduction of the crate Camaro back in 2004 when Dynacorn had it in their product catalog they should consider lookin into the squarebody trucks since a majority of the sheetmetal components with the exception of crash and/or rust repair sections have been discontinued

aah I was really talking about buying a runner and just redoing the interior. Even here in CA you can find decent ones for $5k or so if you look consistently. Funny thing is that the ones with brand new interiors and older looking exteriors go for less than vice versa.
