Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
I think I found the place I want to have paint my pickup. Has anyone heard of Monster Paint FX? I was feeling a little burnt out, but got over the hump and I'm ready to paint and finish putting the interior in.
Last of the two-tone pics....Hopefully http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a59...psab8d9e02.jpg |
Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
Very nice, it looks sweet now. It'll just be that much better once repainted!

Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
I had the carpet in the door panels replaced with leather to match the new seats.
I have new woodgrain inserts and it looks like the map pocket will need some love (it looks old and dirty now too) http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a59...ps842fbd8a.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a59...psd7109672.jpg |

Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
I just kept searching the internet.
The NOS bezel was from someone on this site. The NOS dash piece was found at vintage parts inc in Wisconsin. The drivers door was found at a dealership in Texas. The passenger side door was actually cut from another NOS dash piece because it does not exist anywhere! I bought most of this before prices went through the roof on NOS parts. Everything except the last dash trim piece was priced at normal dealership prices. It would really bum me out if aftermarket started making 89-91 trim after the fact! |

Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
Are you going solid black? I liked the grey two tone also (kind of gives it a factory look), but the truck is gorgeous either way.

Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
Thanks Jonboy. I keep looking at two tones and like the 'old school' look of it (my first pickup was a 2 toned 86), but I'm pretty sure I'm going all black.
