Yes it is midnight pearl, I like the way it looks too, thanks. I have not had any complaints about the suspension so far.

Whoo Boy, that is one beautiful truck. So clean and sanitary with no frufru or nonsense thrown on too.
That's the way they are done right folks, clean truck that will stand the test of time an look just as great ten years from now as it does today. Not one fad thing on it that will scream 2015 build five, ten or fifteen years from now.

Any chance you have any close up pics of rear suspension brackets from FlatOut? Building a C4 suspension 51 GMC right now.

Thanks, I was curious how they attached the 4 arms on the sides of the chassis.

Corvette engine intalled. Engine fired up right away. It had been sitting for quite a few years. I bought a wrecked 85 corvette and the engine had only 17000 miles on it.

Was the engine setback and recessing the firewall necessary with the Flat Out front suspension kit?

Well I didn't personally put it together so can't say if it was a problem with the flat out kit or the engine itself, but it needed to be recessed for sure.

Re: 1950 GMC project

Great build! I'm starting mine right now. 53 with Flat Out's front and rear kit. I do need to call Don with a few questions. Don has been very reachable and awesome to deal with thus far. And the quality of what I have received from them is top notch work. I wonder if you or any others have any info on the use of sway bars on the Flat Out kit? Sway Bars front and rear are the only thing I didn't get from my doner 85 Vette.

Re: 1950 GMC project

It's been quite a few years since I bought my but I don't think they had provisions for a sway bar. Probably would have to engineer your own.
