well it was a twin line, may have been a 485 i dunno. he just claimed it was too much wrecker for a 1 ton and not many were made. thanks for the info!

Our rusted out dead '84 1 ton diesel yard mule. Hasn't run right for a year and has just been sitting in the back corner of the service lot for the last 9 months. We've had ice fog for the last week and it's grown on the truck like white algae.

I made every call in the '73 up to 1995.

I have had 4 or 5 squares over the years, but these trucks sealed my love of them.

Amen brother I love them too.

Hard to tell from the angle but if thats a 1/2 ton Burb thats so wrong for it to be an ambulance. Its taking that corner like a waterbed:lol: I hope there isn't a patient in the back.

Here are some of my dad's '78 K20 with a "King" slide in wrecker unit for those of you that haven't already seen them. Dad bought it new in late '77 and it saw AAA service until 1997. We still have it although it has been sitting for about 10 years.

When it was brand new. Yep, that is me with our dog "Uniflo".

Picture from 1979 or so in front of our old Exxon station.

About the same time frame. Still missing the front left hub cap too.

About 1991 or 92. Pretty much how it still looks today even though it is been parked.
