No problem! Would love to see more of it. I just got a 67 stepside and hope one day it looks as good as that.

Re: PB bagged 69 stepside-because Leon asked...

It's not nearly as nice as some of the trucks on here, but I want to leave it rough around the edges--like an old farm truck except with the attitude that it's slammed to ground with cool wheels.
The bed is back down to the proper height, rear wheelwells cut the additional 1 1/4" Gotta mount hood, driveshaft, brake lines, etc...maybe soon.
Are you bagging yours?

My 67 sleep sorry this bag with Accuair and Porterbuilt. And I just picked up my 67 stepside yesterday. I want to do the same thing to it minus a paint job.

Cool. I like the "minus a paint job" thing. I have people looking at the progress on mine and ask "What color are you going to paint it?" and I say "See that green stuff? That's paint.". They look at me like I'm crazy.
I'm used to the dumb questions from being into bikes all these years. People ask if I'm putting a nice cushy seat on because mine is like 1/4" thick (or thin). I tell them they should sell their bike and buy a lazy boy, that's nice and cushy, stay home and watch tv. I like rider feedback. I can feel when I ride over gum wrappers, or squirrels. They usually walk away.

haha! yea i just made a seat pan and wrapped it with leather. i hate installing those seats on peoples bikes that adjust the stiffness for rider and passenger and is also heated. its like a $700 seat. i could find better ways to spend $700. ive wanted to do a patina looking truck for a while, but my 67 fleetside was left to me from my grandfather and wanted to make a really nice show truck outta that one. this one i want to do like my bike. flat paint job, nice wheels, loud pipes..

No, I still need a drive shaft, brake lines, and the PB hood hinges mounted. Also have to put tabs on the trailing arms for the e-brake. Also, my bench is at the upholsterer, but I can't find springs anywhere.
But here's a lower shot in case you were going into withdrawal!

awesome truck

Thanks, Broey!
Those iPhone pics are horrible. It's also impossible to get a decent full shot of the truck inside the shop. I have to practically stand outside, where I just keep getting the 3/4 rear view. Although a rear view ain't all that bad.

Very nice! When you go wider in the rear, it's going to be sexier

I wish I had known about a "soft lip" when I ordered those wheels for the previous truck I had 'em on. They'd look so much deeper...cooler...

Thanks for that smbrouss70. The ones I need are the side springs. No one makes 'em.
