Your interior truly looks outstanding! Congratulations. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: show us your interior
Ok, I did a search and found this material is fully machine able like wood or metal. But I still would like to know how you "mold" it to conform (for example) with your headliner area?

Re: show us your interior
OK so mine is pretty boring compared to most shown, one difference though I have removed the hump in the firewall. Mine is a COE and will have the front of the engine under the seat so I didn't need the hump. I will be using a late model seat which I plan on making a tilt forward option for engine access.

Re: show us your interior
Yeah, I'm curious about the thickness you used plus how you got the long straight lines to "blend" at the curved lines as though it is one continuos line?
Also, how did you conform the backside of the panel to the surface if the door or whatever? Posted via Mobile Device |

God bless all of you guys with the new-fangled interiors. I personally dig the original look. Heres my 58. Just installed a new 23" Nostalgic Lokar shifter.

Re: show us your interior
Brikar- thats a really nice, clean interior. I will certainly be attempting something along those lines.
In your last pictures it kinda looks like there are stainless strips in the left kick panel. Is that a camera trick or an accent your working on? |

Re: show us your interior
Thanks guys. She's come a long way in the past year. Still a work in progress. Interior is pretty much done, just need to install the deluxe heater unit, which I'm in the process of restoring now. What a great old truck. I can't go anywhere without getting lots of thumbs up, smiles (and lots of questions!). I particularly love the interiors of the 55-59 pickups, and I have to say after all the hard work I'm happy with how this one came out. My buddy was trying to convince me to go with just red on the dash, but I'm glad I decided to go with the red and white two tone scheme.

Yes, the two tone is outstanding. Is it automotive base coat/clear coat or rattle can stuff like mine will be for awhile?
