Dream cluster... at this point having a truck would help.

Probably a stock style tach cluster with trip odometer and a clock would be my choice.

However at one time I was trying to put together a cluster with a vette speedo and mechanical tach with a 69 camaro center fuel gauge. But then I also had a ball bearing TI tach drive distributor and an aluminum head 427 as inspiration.

Trip odometer, now that is an idea that I can work on. Of course it would have to appear factory as if a rare option no one has ever heard of. Hmmm.

Good to hear from you Tim

ttt,

Also willing to buy non working factory tachometers for 6 and 8 cyl.

As always, I appreciate everyone's feedback and comments.

Thank you,
Tom

Thank you Scott,

I just read through that whole thread and it is very interesting. Did you ever find out what the origin was on that. It did appear to be original and someone did an excellent job fabricating it if GM did not make it.

Tom

Re: Reconditioned gauge Clusters F/S

I have no idea if it was original Tom. I just figured someone must have assembled it using GM parts, as I have never seen or heard of one before and it seems nobody else has either.

They look AWESOME! I'm a little confused though. I feel dumb asking this but is the price for a cluster you send ME? Or do I have to send mine and have it redone? Or, do I send you mine as a core?

Plus, I have a CST Blazer with a tach. That a problem?

If you ever perfect the trip odometer idea, let me know - or, I suppose I could just fix my gas gauge! Ha.. Keep up the great work.

I thought my gas gauge was broken to then I realized it was normal for it to move faster than the speedometer :lol::lol:

I am going to get to that trip idea soon. I have a silent partner that you also know that has some great ideas and information.

I have so much regular customer builds going now, it is hard to make time to work on experiments.

Thanks for the compliments,
Tom

Can you send some photos of what you have to tbonegarris@yahoo.com

I would appreciate it and also let me know what you want for all of it. If you want to post photos on the forum here, that is OK also.

ttt,

Thank you to all of you that have bought a restored cluster or had me restore your own. I appreciate the business very much.

Please continue to contact me for all of your cluster needs. I also do other cluster work on a variety of vehicles.

Fun photo of the bezel collection :) (I just threw most of them out due to being cracked).

I have a large inventory of individual parts also. Contact me with your needs.

Thank you,
Tom
