Mine have a back spacing of 4.62"/offset of -8mm. Iīll probably change them out sometime this year though for something more sleeper looking! ;) |

Here is just a little teaser of the new rear mount aluminum tank.... ;)

Re: 78 K20 custom delux "modern meets vintage" build thread
This is the beginning of the relocation of the rear cross members to accept the new aluminum tank.
http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...u/L1030960.jpg And without the bed on, this gives a nice view on the massive 08 Dodge 3500 rear brakes. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...u/L1030958.jpg |
Re: 78 K20 custom delux "modern meets vintage" build thread
Mocking up the tank... pretty tight...
http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...u/L1030961.jpg all the emission stuff will go underneath the bed as well http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...u/L1030962.jpg |
Re: 78 K20 custom delux "modern meets vintage" build thread
Very impressive wip and a great truck. Then I saw the Dana 60 and got very depressed, I can only dream of having such a brute. :waah: From the new transmission to the new gauges to the rims, I think this is the way most people would build a 4x4. I know I would. Keep up the great work and enjoy this beauty. Your avatar caught my attention btw and I thought that is one cool rig.

Thank you! I appreciate all the kind words. Iīll do my best to keep track of all the work that Iīll do to it in the future and make sure to post pictures.

Re: 78 K20 custom delux "modern meets vintage" build thread
Here is the tank installed. However I might have to move it back a little because of clearance issues with the Mag Hytech diff cover and the tank at full bump.

Re: 78 K20 custom delux "modern meets vintage" build thread
Does anyone know how to start a vote on a few options here? Iīd like to do that but have no idea how...
Thanks! |
Re: 78 K20 custom delux "modern meets vintage" build thread
Ok guys, time for some poll action. I rendered some different light setups for my truck and would like to know what you guys think looks best.
I posted this question in another thread, but not to many people replied, so I hope it works better here... current LED setup: http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...u/L1030940.jpg Reason for the change is, the LEDs are great flood lights but donīt give me enough distance, so I need some kind of HID to fill in the distance. #1 (current LED setup plus 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...nering_OnX.jpg #2 (current LED setup plus 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon Euro Beam) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...ng_option2.jpg #3 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon Euro beam) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...cornering2.jpg #4 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon driving beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...ecornering.jpg #5 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon euro beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...cornering2.jpg #6 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon euro beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon pencil beam) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...cornering2.jpg #7 (2x HIDDEN BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon euro beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...00icompact.jpg #8 (2x HIDDEN BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon euro beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Xenon pencil beam) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...Pencilbeam.jpg #9 (2x BD Squadron wide cornering + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon driving beam + 2x Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Xenon pencil beam) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...nering_OnX.jpg |

I am green w/ envy, what a sharp truck. I am of no help w/ the light question as IMHO, they are all a winning set up.

Re: 78 K20 custom delux "modern meets vintage" build thread
I think that is one good looking rig and I like #2. Good lighting but you still see the excellent Chevy front in all it's glory. But being on a dark lonely road you would probly be thinking, "I should'a went with #9"
