Cleaning and painting parts. My neighbor let me used his sandblaster which helped out a lot. I had never used one before. Way better there paint stripper.

I had to strip the roll bar and gas tanks with thinner. I ended up painting them with a rubberized paint. It looks good but it is hard to wipe down. Probably wouldn't do that again.

Bought a new bezel and speedo. Used the old tach an a NOS gauge. None of the orange needles match so I painted all of them. Definitely better than the mismatch

I cleaned the seltbelts the best I could and attempted to paint the buckle covers. It was a fail. The paint flaked off so I stripped them back to black and left them like that. They don't make off white repop seatbelt covers.

I also attempted to redo the rear panels. The original ones were warped and in bad shape. I made new backing out of card stock. Then glued down the old vinyl and painted them. Overall I give it a "C"

Exterior stuff going back on. You can see how bent the core support it by looking at the head lights. Honestly it doesn't bother me. It took me forever to find an original paint fender that matched.

Hmmm.... Those gas tank vent lines don't look to be 1970.
I thought evap system was 71-up?
Maybe it was destined for the Man-bun state of California which had stricter emission laws?

I figured it was fuel lines for the saddle tanks.
