Beautiful truck. One in a million. Must have spent most of its life in a temperature & humidity controlled room. No way that interior ever saw much sun!

I bought a one owner 1981 Silverado around 1986 that didn't look anywhere near that nice.

Put some new pipes on today (True duals, Magnaflow mufflers, crossover and 4" tips). I'm really happy with the sound :metal:!

The guy that bought it from the son did the upgrades other than the exhaust.

That's a sweet squarebody! Nice score....I saw it on some LST footage. I'm working on tidying up my '98 Xcab and fixing a couple of things so it can be sold and replaced by a '87 lwb 2wd that I've been spying in the neighborhood.

Thank you! Good luck on your project(s).

Well I've mainly been driving the truck and doing a few minor "upgrades" and fixes. I finally got my dual tanks working correctly, it turn out to be someone crossed connectors underneath the cab on the drivers side. The wiring was very similar in color and they simple crossed them. I switched them around and both tanks work and measure as they should. In the process of the troubleshooting, I did upgrade crossover valve to a 65 psi Pollack unit (for safely and potential future upgrades).

Here's a great thread on dual tank operation and troubleshooting started by HATZIE: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=754061

While reading the site, I found a really nice headlight buzzer upgrade. I purchased the module and just plugged it in. Now if I leave the headlights on, I will get a warning indication, :metal:.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=729153

I also picked up a nice little FM blue tooth adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter. It works well with the factory digital AM/FM cassette player, :metal:.

And finally, I put back on the OEM front bumper guards, here's a couple pictures.

The only other modification that I would like to do is install a tach. I'm researching that now and want to do something that is period correct. More to follow!!

Beautiful truck! I wanted that red and white color combo when I was restoring my truck, but along the way I found a stepside bed and ended up going with solid red. I have the headlight buzzer upgrade on mine as well. :metal:

Thanks! I had a solid red 82 when I was in high school (86), but couldn't pass this one up. The chime (buzzer) is da bomb!

Beautiful pickup. 87 is my favorite year. Twins won the world series that year. Everything about 87 is good to me. Again, awesome pickup you have there. I hope I can get one of my 87's to that level someday.

The truck has been running flawlessly! I just went over 35K (only a 1000 miles left on my GM warranty....). I have been searching for a nice set of OEM bedrails with not much luck.... If anyone has a nice set, hit me up!!!

Cool Picture! Hey, I bet if you keep an eye on your mail, you might find a letter from one of those fine, upstanding companies that offers vehicle extended warranties...you might be out on time, though....only a day or two
