More old truck ramblings.
If the 68 production for a shorty fleetside was CE10734 Fleetside 6.5 ft. 46,483- any way to know by plant how many where built? |

Re: old blue
what a great story, and all of the pictures to go with it!..this really brings a smile to me..it reminds me of many memories I had with my grandfather in the earliest memories of my life, riding with him in his 69 c10, and in my dads 69 gmc, I would love to have either of them back today.and have always owned a 67-72 gm truck, since I was 16, this post made me realize I have owned my 72 for 24 years, and how much my sons love it...thanks for sharing, love the family side of our hobby!:chevy:

Love seeing the look on mom's face when I pull up to their house.

Re: old blue
I love these stories of "Boomerang" trucks. People reacquiring their old trucks or their fathers/grandfathers old trucks.
There are quite a few of these stories floating around on this site right now. |
Re: old blue
Me too, love this truck's tale of ownership. Off Road racing history included. It has a unique history being altered into a C/20 out of a short bed

Had a Deja vu moment with our old blue last weekend.
At the shop watching my son fabricate a few tubes on a jeep cage, late nights with old jeeps and trucks took me back to being this kid sitting in the racecar. Flash back deja vu whatever you call it. |
Re: old blue
Looks like your son is a good welder/fab guy. Nice job dad.
I always enjoy your updates. |
