I got this by gooogling it,

the wire from ignition switch for the solenoid goes to the small stud with S by it.
almost always purple color on most GM

all other wires go to the battery cable stud ( this should have the alt wire running to it also.)

if you have old points type ignition then you need to use the other small stud it is labeled R

run a small wire from it to the ign coil + stud. if you dont then it will not run because this is the full 12v feed to the points during cranking time only

here is a wire harness diagram for you also

Looking really good.
I'm glad to see more guys sticking with the 3/4 ton and still making it look cool.
Great work!

Re: here's my truck 65 c20

So here is what I think might be the build ticket for my truck, until I noticed that the vehicle identification numbers didn't match the ticket says 01546z my truck cab number says 02546z so the question that started all of this. Did my 65 c20 come with a V8 327?. I'm being told that this truck didn't have that option. Can any help with this? My ticket our what I think is my build ticket says the engine is a SV?

Axle

I love the truck! I wish I could build one one like that one day. I saw in the posts someone ask about the 90 axle being wide. Do the wheels stick out or is the axle about the same width?

i got lucky the axle was the same width as the stock one that came with the truck 65" outside hub to hub.

Well while looking through craigs list yesterday i found a new project, i just couldnt pass up. It was almost free, $275.00 with brand new tires, wheels, and a freshly rebuilt steering column. With rust free doors.

Yes I finally figured the starter wiring out. But had to put my project on hold for awhile. While I look for a new job. The company I was working for closed its doors.

Sweet project. My family had a house in Temecula for a while. Do you mind me asking where you got your cab sand blasted and primered and how much it set you back? THanks

$200.00 bones for the blasting of the cab. And another $150.00 in paint. I painted it me self.

Yep didn't need to be there, but I don't like removing things that could be structural and there was no clearance issue with leaving it. but I did grind the rivets and replace with bolts so it could be removed easly.:chevy:

Man, I hope I am crazy but it looks like the intake has nowhere to put the oil fill tube and the valve covers do not have breather caps so where the heck do you pour in the oil?
