Re: 48 GMC Build Cummins 4BT, 47RH, IFS, 4-Link, Air
kinda hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the final turbo exhaust outlet is pretty close to the firewall or trans hump. did you need to cut into the cab for clearance at all?
nice innovations. keep designing stuff in your head while you rock the baby. congrats on that by the way. |

Killer Job!!! I like where this is going, the compound setup should work really well and fits in there nice. Do you have an idea for HP and TQ numbers?

A heat shield between the body the exhaust would possibly help. Wouldn't wanna catch your flooring on fire or if no flooring melt your riders sneakers soles.

I think you should be good with wrapped exhaust 1" away, I have been running that with my exhaust for 5 years with no prob.

Re: 48 GMC Build Cummins 4BT, 47RH, IFS, 4-Link, Air
Switched gears a bit and build a bracket for the transmission cooler (pun intended). I cut out some brackets and tabs and used a few spare pieces of 1x1 square tube I had in the shop. I welded the tabs to the frame and mounted it at a 45* angle so it doesnt hang down too low. I also picked up some nifty vibration dampening studs from McMaster to mount the cooler to the bracket. Now I just need to pick up some tube end fittings to finish up the plumbing and shell be all done. On to the pics
