E brake and the bed looks really good! Can you explain what you did with the wheel tub? Looks chopped and maybe shortened?

Re: 68c10/c6

I'm going to run a 325 tire so I widened it & took out 4 inches of height I also moved the tub up 2 inches mostly to make the inside of the bed look proportional. I used two original sets of tubs!

How are you going to widen plastic?

Drifters 01-31-2015 11:03 AM

Re: 68c10/c6

That's a good question? I have a buddy who does plastic molds! I formed aluminum sheet spacers 3 1/4" wide on both sides of the console..I've found some mostly flat areas to extend then my buddy will make the pieces out of plastic and attach them it's a new area for me but he says he can do it! Stay tuned

Drifters you should have the Moderators move this build to the 67-72 build sub-forum, this sub area is for AD or TF trucks. You would probably get more responses and idea from that side of the house.

Re: 68c10/c6

I'm not familiar with that Rude Dude I'm new to this stuff whats AD &TF? And how would I do that? Thanks...Ron

Re: 68c10/c6

Hi Drifters -

AD is short for Advanced Design trucks 1947 to early 1955. TF is Task Force trucks 1955 to 1959.

The forum is organized into truck year groupings and the busiest group is the 1967 to 1972 trucks. So Rude Dude is suggesting your awesome build would have more looks and comments if it was located in the 1967 to 1972 forum.

I am glad it is in this forum or I likely wouldn't have seen it over there...so many builds going on.

Hope that helps!

How would transfer this thread? Or do I start a new one? Thanks guys for your help!

Advanced Design 01-31-2015 09:37 PM

Re: 68c10/c6

No need to start a new one. Perhaps a moderator could move it if you asked.

I think I only have to add two more EEs? I'll rap the dash in leather and stitch in Z10 or something?
