Well finaly started working on the truck again. Ive decided to paint it now so I started doing all the body work and made a new bed frame for the bed because the old one looked like crap. Hopefully the weather is nice tommarow so I can get it out of the grage and take better pics.

As u can see I made a frame for the bed. Cant decide what the gap should be between the cab and the bed. Can somebody take some measurements of there's to give me a good idea. Any help would be great. Thanks

Yeah I cant decide what the gap should be, its driving me nuts. I wrote it down before I started all this , but now I have no clue were it is.

i really like the ride height of your truck. as for your box to cab space, just make it whatever you want. wither way, great project.

Re: 68swb build up AKA (Baglady)

Na no new pics, havent had time to work on it. I have been trying to decide on the gas tank. Thinking of putting in a fuel cell and gitting rid of the tank thats in the bed since I redid the bed.

Yeah I was going to leave it the way it was, but iv decided that iv come this far with it might as well paint it. Im trying to decide on some color of orange, probably 69 hugger orange. And im going to leave the wheels that are on it for now, but have them powder coated a dark gray color.

a tank similar to this? IIRC its a 21 gallon tank. looks lik you would have to go smaller as your compressor/tank are mounted in this general location.

Looking at one like this its 15gal. Its 30L/12W/9H. Looks like i can put it in front of the air tank or move that tank forward and put it there.

I like your idea for the floor, It'll probably look really good when done. That frame will sure make it rigid too.

Re: 68swb build up AKA (Baglady)

Thanks, yeah the frame for the bed is crazy rigid now, and the floor is turning out pretty good. The floor is going to get a spray in liner, but iv been thinking about taking some angle iron and making a big chevy emblem in between the wheel tubs, befor it gets sprayed.

Re: 68swb build up AKA (Baglady)

That would be awesome if you did that. I'm contemplating doing something like your floor myself but I want to find some diamondplate instead of just straight steel. Get the diamondplate and coat over the top of it with Rhino Liner so I can have that texture showing under the Rhino Liner.

Well got some updates. Finally went and did some work on the truck. Got all the bed floor welded up, and put in a fuel cell under the bed and used a gas tank door off a jeep. What yall think.
