Order up some cheap single stage from autobodytoolmart.com they have Kirker brand stuff that I believe is the same as the Summit paint. They have a good looking simple gray. Here is a link.

I have seen some paint jobs using the paint from tractor supply, it didn't look bad.
I need to fix some metal before I'm ready to paint though. Flat silver might be cool.....I just want it nice enough to sell it, maybe I will just fix the body and get it in sealer...

I'm going to pretend I didn't read that! :sumo:

A guy used some of "OUR" farm and implement paint to paint one of his trucks. It actually turned out really well. He said it was just his beater truck so he wasn't that concerened about the outcome of it, but it actually turned out better than he expected.

I used to use the "Van Sickle" implement paint all the time for doing cheap paint jobs. Something else to check is with your paint jobber to see if they have any mismatch paint. My grandparents owned two way radio businesses, and I would paint their repeater cabnets with all of the oddball greys I could get my hands on.

the PO before the PO that I bought it from made this rear bumper for it, you can pull out the license plate holder and put a receiver hitch in it. I kinda dig it. Think I just may keep it, but use a folding license plate holder instead.

I also just noticed today that the bumper bolts on the front have been shaved, I might shave the turn signals in the bumper, or put some driving lights in it.
here is a couple pics of the '80 loaded down with some parts for the Crew. I was storing them at work.

once again the weather has pissed me off. I was supposed to be off friday, but I ended up working. It was a nice day. mid 50's and sun. Then today it was mid 30's and overcast...I guess it is official, I'm ready for spring;)

Oh and I almost forgot.....while cleaning out the bed of the truck, I found the flip kit that the PO had removed. I see this thing getting closer to the earth soon and while cleaning out the cab i found a brand new fitzall TV cable :metal:

Ya I know I need to change my avatar. Big suburban is gone and I got my 07 silverado classic back from my 21yr brother becuz he got in a little winter time bumper bender. So now I'm looking for a rear roll pan and possibly the SS silverado front bumper cover. Then after I sell the single cab truck I will be able to fund a crewcab shortbed build.
