If you can't persuade that crossmember out with the hammer... you can always cut it in half with the sawzall. It's not good for much more than scrap after you install the new shock crossmember! :)

My neighbor has a sweet "ancient" mill, which comes in handy!! Was able to get my axle shafts trimmed up for the Mcgaughy's 13"rs'!:smoke:

Not for long though - I will get them back from Powdercoater and they will look a little different!

That and I didnt buy the rear kit, wasn't in the budget at this time. Can't wait to see how they look when you get them back from the powdercoater.

Well it seems like I have been more driving around picking up parts and stuff then actually working on the truck. So yesterday i tried to get a few things done!

Met up with the Powdercoater yesterday :)

I should be able to make some good progress today. I hope to get the frame cleaned up and painted - Porterbuilt - Stage II installed, trailing arms cleaned up painted and new bushings installed. - So pretty much have the rear half buttoned up!! We'll see:metal::metal:

Here is a little project me and my son have been working on - no wonder I can't get anything done on the 68':lol::lol:

Ya - my son joined Scouts and this is our first Pinewood Derby. They said the parents could do one too - so my son was like Dad you gotta do one - of course I bit and have gotten a little to into it.

We have our race tomorrow so we'll see. I really don't care about the race for me. He did a real cool car too so that part is exciting!
