Yeah, I think you're right but seems like EVERY company had a version of the American Torq-Thrust mag, including themselves! They had the Torq-Thrust D mag with a slightly curved spoke to accommodate then-new disc brakes.

There were Japanese knockoffs, Ansens, a whole bunch of companies and shops like Pep Boys had some of those companies making a version for them to sell. Mine have no identification at all, which I find odd.

Looks just like my truck did before I took it apart for painting from the frame up. I've been going back and forth between chrome smoothie and painted. I just decided on the chrome. I'll also do 15x6.

There are a ZILLION different wheels and tires you could use. What is the "Theme" of your truck? "Resto rod", early hot rod, slammed mod, "work truck", what is your theme?

If you keep every nut and bolt on the truck following a theme it is always easy to figure out what you want to do, and personally I think the car or truck is always more special when a theme is followed on every nut and bolt.

Pro1955, Man your truck is great looking. I love the Coys on it. If I ever upgrade from my 15's it'll be to 17" or 18" Coys for sure.

15x8" Wheelsmith smoothies with their repop hubcaps & glamor rings. Wider white 255/70 BFG T/A radials from Diamondback. Had to use air shocks in rear as the 1970 C10 12-bolt is a bit wider than stock. No problems with front clearance though using the stock 6-bolt setup.

My tires are take offs from CL again, $60 for brand new tires! Pretty pleased I'm all in for $220. Tires are 235/75's but I'm okay with that for now.

Damn, I don't know why Photobucket sometimes flips my photos upside down. I edit them and sometimes they show up right, sometimes not.

Your right there are many combinations when it comes to wheels and tires, sometimes when you see something you really like, "you have to have it". Or when you see something that appears to fit a trucks personality perfectly it makes sense. My truck I'm not sure if it has a Theme yet! I guess it's headed at the moment in the direction of a resto rod, early hot rod theme if there is such an animal. Actually more stock with a custom cleaned up interior, modern brakes, suspension, lowered not slammed at the moment! The paint and body are staying the way it is until my pockets get deeper. Just a cool little grocery getter. Unassuming from the outside but when you look inside you are pleasantly surprised.

Regards
Bill

Thanks so much. As you can see in the top vs. bottom photo the guy I bought them from put some kind of coating on them to preserve them. It kept the spokes from aluminum corrosion - good. But also left the lip very dull - bad. I have been trying to get it off by running the truck on jack stands and sanding with fine grit paper. It has worked but only to a degree. Whatever the coating is, it's tough!
