Re: Farm Fresh Silverado
in one of the pics it looks like youre riding bumpstops in front. Have you chopped them down or are you leaving them in ?

"Got an alignment and the tires balanced, but I think it needs new tires, something is still shaking. "
Could be the pinion angle where the driveshaft meets the rearend. If it is smooth until like 45-55 mph than I have found that the pinion angle is slightly off and you can buy shims at an auto parts store to shim and correct the angle. 2 degrees will make a difference. If your tires are not the problem, try the shims. the truck looks awesome with that stance! |

I just got my Ingenuity Fab and Speed tranny cross member! Super excited.
Also got my windshield and solid back glass installed. |
Re: Farm Fresh Silverado
I like the tranny cross member. That’s pretty darn nice. I’ll need to look into one of those in the foreseeable future.

Re: Farm Fresh Silverado
Red Beard, I love the stance!!
Looks like you're running 8" rally's with 235/75 tires? If so, any rubbing issues with tires. I saw the issue with the wheel and lower control arm. Thanks Mike |

Finally fixed my sagging headliner.. WITH SUEDE! FANCY! Haha. I picked up this material back in October and finally got around to it, while I had everything out doing the glass. Also, picked up one of those fancy clear dome light lenses and LED bulb from LMC, because the original stuff was all melted.

Re: Farm Fresh Silverado
Suede fancy!
What did you use for adhesive? I have some perforated, foam backed vinyl to install on an ABS plastic headliner. Thanks Mike |

Re: Farm Fresh Silverado
Good progress man. You're killing me though that the front suspension now consists of compression of the bump stop. You could just pull the springs out and set them aside to save weight, haha. I like how the truck sits but I don't think it would look bad at all if you went back up an inch in front and two in the rear. But you said you are thinking about bagging it, so if going low is the point then the rubbing and bumping is part of the game. That wasn't supposed to sound dirty BTW, ha. Anyway, nice work, I've always liked this color combo.

Re: Farm Fresh Silverado
The issue I'm running into now is the carrier bearing in now lower than both my transmission and my axle and causing some weird angles. I don't know whether to raise the carrier or switch to a one-piece driveshaft.

Re: Farm Fresh Silverado
Nice truck... well it was until you lowered it :/
Hard to find these days with Electric Doors Boy I'd would of kept it as is. |

Re: Farm Fresh Silverado
Nice long bed. Stance is exactly what I'm looking for. Did you change out the drive shaft or raise the carrier support?
