This project has taken way longer to get to this point than it should have, I could make excuses and bore you with life stories but let’s just move on. Keith has been extremely patient so two months ago I finally started getting my life back to somewhat normal and started back on the Blazer. I had already installed the inner, outer rockers and torq/rocker boxes but now that I had it on the lift I didn’t like the way any of it looked so I cut it all back off and started again. The second time around came out much better and allowed me to pull the chassis out…..on with the pictures!

Next up was getting the chassis down to just the frame rails so we could install the PB mild rear setup. Keith had already installed tubular upper and lower control arms on the front so those will be used again. Since all this was going to be powder coated and man handled we decided to weld in the notches to make sure the frame would not get damaged in the process.

Sorry, some of the pictures rotated. Next up we assembled the chassis, cleaned and painted the rear end and all the steering components and made us a roller.

While the chassis and parts where out being coated I started smoothing the firewall. I still need to make some modifications where the heater box goes before starting bodywork. (yes, we are running a heater box)

I'm at a point where I have all the brake lines done until the body goes back on and the fuel lines are next. I started prepping the motor for new parts and paint. I also started the task of smoothing the cast iron manifolds/headers. The next step is for me to clean the underside of the tub and get it in epoxy and undercoat it.

WOW. It's been a while. I was hoping to see more on the torque box replacement but oh well. Good to see you back at it!

This is looking pretty awesome Keith and Keith. Can't wait to see it again someday...I saw it at Goodguys KC a loooong time ago. Coolest Blazer around.
