I'm assuming he's using a heat control paste to keep the paint from bubbling. That's the only way I could see to get the HAZ that small.

Nice. This is a conformation that 73-87 c10's are just as cool as 67-72 c10's.

Love this truck and this thread.
Any chance Brooks will be making a "frame shortening kit" for the C20 and C30 trucks?
I think this would be a great product for the crew cab guys wanting a short bed.

Had a productive Sunday. Helped my buddy Kyle short bed his truck with the kit we also installed Box C-notches.

Nice little Sunday Project. Kyle has already shortened the bed sides. Before and after. Bottom pic is Kyle holding bed side for sneak peak of what's to come.

Very nice on both trucks. What brand wheels (sizes too) did you go with?

X2. I love those specific wheels, and they look great on your truck. Any specifics?

Nice color combo. Looks just like my 74' Cheyenne but in better shape....lol. Picked this up just for the original big block in it

Epic! Can you share the suspension details?

Wow that looks killer. When I had mine that low in the front it hit the LCA all the time! Hopefully you don't have that issue too.

Also, did you swap out the bed floor for one from a shortbox or did you cut the same amount out of the longbox floor as you did with the sides? I'm hoping the answer is cut up the long one and that you have pictures because full bed floors from a shortbox are really rare around here.

Your truck stance looks great, but I'm not sure how you got it that low with the front end alignment in check.
Ground clearance to the lower a-arm must be less than 2".
Care to share any pics of the front suspension?

Evan I used a factory shortbed floor. I wanted to show people how accurate the frame kit is, and also how good Kyles work is reguarding cut down longbed sides. Bed sides bolted right up. I am planning on doing more shortbeded trucks. On squares I think I have a simple way to do it I need to try it.

Nice. Does that mean you're thinking of chopping floors too? If so, take as many pictures as can.

More like 2 1/2". Yes I do have to slow down for speed bumps and dips in the road, after all it is a lowered truck. All 3 of my trucks are running the same drop.

hardwaa, did you and Kyle weld his frame or just use the kit by itself? I have a kit on it's way. Thanks Mike
