I'll take a look at that one near me to see what door panels it has. I think it's still outside.

So I guess someone after the FD buffed the lettering off and it has since faded. My '95 Suburban was a Sheriff's Dept. K-9 wagon (vinyl letters) and you can still see the markings in the right light.

He guy I bought it from bought it from the fire bepartment, in his town, in 2002. He said they removed the lettering then.

Beautiful rig! I love that you are preserving it, and I am looking forward to seeing it finished.

Are those tires bias ply or radial?

Dang Joe! I was really hoping you would go with a 6" lift and some 35s! Maybe some custom gold leaf lettering for the sides, (Joes Plumbing), shag carpet in back..mirrored ceiling!

No new pics yet. I'm going to polish the paint Saturday. Once that's all done I'll put the wheels and tires on it

Nice. Is there an armrest on the driver side? My 67 step side only had one on that side not the passenger and only had a sunshade on the driver side as well. It's like the didn't want the passenger to get to comfortable.

No arm rests on either side, but it has 2 visors. What is odd to me is that it's a "Custom" but no arm rests. It must just be a Panel thing.

LOL, its all pent up from when I was a kid. We didn't dare do anything to make dad upset. He would "Turn this station wagon around" if we got too far out of line. Sometimes it was tough going for four boys on a family road trip :lol::lol:

BTW ... Is it done yet?
